Beau Sheeran: but didn’t issue my license

They processed my payment for my general contractors license 6 weeks ago and still haven’t issued my license, they ran my card within a day of the application but didn’t issue my license, doesn’t really sit right with me! The people there are nice and as helpful as they can be, but it just seems like the ccb is extremely underfunded. They claim to crack down on unlicensed contractors but make it a super difficult process to actually get your license issued

Keith Carey: Can you rate Zero stars

Can you rate Zero stars? This has got to be the worst agency I have ever had to work with. Never answers the phone, won't return emails, but still seems to send letters out stating we are not in compliance. (Which we are as we sent in our records months ago)

Is there any accountability for these guys?

Cintia Ponce: The worst agency ever.

The worst agency ever. They are so quick to collect your money and send notices of non compliance even though you send them every proof possible to show you are in compliance. Right from the beginning of the call they are rude and have an attitude and as soon as you confront them about their attitude they hang up the phone. They make it extremely difficult for you to have a business.

justin smith: On hold for an hour almost each time

Better luck......far, far, far better getting a hold of and dealing with the IRS.  On hold for an hour almost each time and get wrong and conflicted answers. I cannot express enough how horrible

Michael stratton-quirk: Absolute dumpster fire of an agency

Absolute dumpster fire of an agency. Clearly underfunded and understaffed to the point that communication is essentially impossible. Its not open to the public and emails do not get returned. The only option is to wait on hold for hours, after which time you have a 10% chance to get someone super nice and helpful, a 40% chance of getting someone who is clearly out of patience and jaded, and a 50% chance of being hung up on. Licensing paperwork moves at GLACIAL speeds so... make sure you do everything as early as humanly possible. I know that they are clearly severely understaffed so I feel for them but, why are they so understaffed? If we're going to pay taxes for this system we might as well pay enough for it to actually work. Dealing with OCCB is an incredibly frustrating experience.
